Knight
Optical (UK) Ltd
Knight
Optical (UK) Ltd introduced a stock catalogue of precision
optical components in 2003. The on-line catalogue contains
over 2000 standard optical related products. One of
the most successful products being our range of interference
filters.
We stock a
huge selection of interference filters ranging from Ultraviolet
to Near Infrared. Each interference filter is of the highest
quality and is individually checked by our qualified technicians
to ensure that each filter conforms to specification. We pride
ourselves on our high level of customer service and competative
pricing, which has made Knight Optical and established supplier
of interference filters in instrumentation. |

Coatings: With
the use of high-volume vacuum coating equipment, coatings
are applied to large sheets of glass. The coatings are
specifically custom designed to yield tight predetermined
tolerances with excellent surface quality over the large
coated area. Parts in then individually machined to specific
sizes.
Scribed Filters for long life: To
ensure Maximum Life Knight Optical filter coatings are scribed
and hermetically sealed to block out 100% of moisture and
humidity while in storage. With the use of moisture resistant
sealant, filters are then sealed prior to shipment to customers.
These two features ensure maximum lifetime and quality.
Central Wavelength (CWL) Stability: Bandpass and narrow band
filters are stabilized to minimize CWL drift.
Black Anodized Aluminum Rings: Standard stock filters
are mounted and hermetically sealed in a black anodized aluminum
rings. Rings are supplied with both front and rear aperture
masks preventing light leakage around un-coated scribed filter
edges.
Surface
Quality: 80/50 per MIL-O-13830A is standard.
Humidity
Resistance: MIL-STD-810C; Method 507, Procedure 1.
Documentation: A
measurement of the pass band region is provided with each
filter lot. Blocking verification to optical density (OD)
5 is performed on a Cary 500 UV-VIS-IR Spectrophotometer
for an additional charge. Spectral data in ASCI spreadsheet
format can be sent via E-mail.
ALL Filter
coatings are scribed on CNC systems for superb long-term
stability. Wavelength accuracy is calibrated to low-pressure
mercury arc lamps. Our extensive experience and capabilities
allow us to offer a wide selection of Interference
Filters to OEM's, R&D firms and end users. Whether
